A poem

Sanctuary
by Dorothy Parker

My land is bare of chattering folk
The clouds are low along the ridges
And sweet’s the air with curly smoke
From all my burning bridges.

Glad you like it Robyn. I like to "plant" a poem post among the usual quote posts from time to time..
As Goethe said, a man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.
