Is it a year all ready? Happy Birthday, Thinker! I always enjoy visiting your blog to see what quote you have found for us. The first quote that comes to mind is the Stanislaw Jerzy Lec quote which stayed on my mind for days.

"Thoughts, like fleas, jump from man to man, but they don't bite everybody."

The first rose on my rose-tree
Budded, bloomed, and shattered,
During sad days when to me
Nothing mattered.

Grief of grief has drained me clean;
Still it seems a pity
No one saw,--it must have been
Very pretty.

it's got to be this one by Edna St. Vincent Millay, as it covers past, present and future healing. r.
