Glad you like it Luisa :) Not being constant, i guess as much it's a flaw, it's also a virtue, especially in art. We must be capable of changing our minds, or our mind could become our tyrant.
Sometimes I understand why those mid-20th century artists enjoyed being provocative, and this quote is so light I can imagine how spontaneously it was said...
Glad you like it :) I agree, it must have been great, avant-garde was still a new, fresh movement. I always get nostalgic when i see how simple, clean and pure art movements and their ideas were in the past. And today, in a time of saturation and pollution in every possible way, i have an impression that art became confused, and it had lost its honesty and sincerity. it's like our age had lost its identity in a way.
Yes. I really know what you mean. I feel confusion everywhere... As if we had too many pieces of information. Perhaps the past always seems clearer to us. But when it comes to Art, I've so often heard: "everything has been done"... There is some sort of bitterness, some sort of cynism in the air whenever when tries to do things heart and soul.
Yes, i think that the discouraging postmodernist sentence: "everything has been done" tells it all. And i believe we are living in another Fin de siècle period, a decadent period between great art eras. That we are overfatigued, used up art civilization, waiting for a new "beginning", a clean start in a way.

such a lovely idea... and now I'm glad I'm quite... not so constant!...
