Beautiful way of puting it, but, is it true?

It's hard to tell, since we all see things like love or friendship differently. I guess that's because every love and every friendship is different and unique.
But I liked the comparison, love and fire share a lot of common qualities i think. Carl Gustav Jung said that the meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
I think the fire illustrates the reaction of love in a beautiful way.

Yes, I agree, love and friendship have a lot of common qualities; and I've heard of long-time friends falling in love!
I did not know that quote by Jung, it's beautiful too, and it's so true. It's probably why loneliness is so hard to live; being transformed by others is so essential, it's refreshing and renewing.

Concerning love, the weird thing is when two people who have nothing in common and would never be friends are struck by passion...

I agree, funny how sometimes seemingly impossible love matches are the most successful ones:)
