Green

I go for a walk in the forest of Fontainebleau. I get 'green' indigestion. I must get rid of this sensation into a picture. Green rules it. A painter paints to unload himself of feelings and visions.

(That's funny, I was in Fontainebleau only a few days ago...) Well, this is excatly what I don't like at all about Picasso. I hate the feeling I have when looking at some of his work that he is "pouring out" his guts, not the sense of beauty or love, but really his inside parts, the lower and most self-centered thoughts and emotions. Yes, he unloads himself, often throwing ugly things at people's face. I am not saying he did this all the time, certainly not when he had things to prove. But at some point he was considered as a god and behaving like one, not even thinking over paintings but considering, at some level, that whatever was coming from him was gold.
I hope I don't offend you, Thinker, anyway, the quote sure is interesting :)

Of course not Cécile, i agree with you that he had quite an ugly personality, he was a spoiled superstar.
You compared him to Madonna once, i liked that :)
